The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources anticipates hiring an assistant deer project leader. Duties will include assisting deer project leader with designing and conducting all deer research. The selected applicant will also work on various wildlife surveys such as the bowhunter survey, gobbler survey, etc. Selected applicant will serve as an expert advisor on deer to regional and national technical committees, the West Virginia Natural Resources Commission and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Selected applicant will submit proposals concerning hunting seasons, bag limits and other rules and regulations associated with deer. Selected applicant will write and publish peer-reviewed manuscripts, popular articles, news releases and special reports.
