Description
• Support biologists and other staff in the delivery of habitat conservation programs. • Assist in grant proposal development, writing, reporting, and administration. • Serve as a liaison with private landowners, state and federal agencies, and other partner organizations. • Support public policy and communications efforts. • Conduct and assist in public presentations, outreach efforts, and supporter events. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in a wildlife or wetland related field. Relevant experience in waterfowl or wetland ecology or habitat conservation is helpful and desirable. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, have strong organizational and written and oral communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and as a team member, have excellent computer skills, and have knowledge of waterfowl, wetlands, and wildlife habitat conservation issues. The successful candidate may be asked to travel, sometimes for extended periods, and work in physically-demanding settings and in all weather conditions.
