Responsibilities will include: Assisting all ranch employees in day-to-day ranch activities which may include, but are not limited to: Vehicle and equipment repair, operating tractors/equipment, filling protein and corn feeders, assisting with our ongoing whitetail breeding program, guiding hunts, shredding/landscaping, road maintenance, planting of food plots, etc.
Applicants must be reliable and ready for outside work in various types of weather. Intern must be a hard worker and in good health. Intern also must be patient with animals and be able to work well with others; as well as be able to interact positively with owners and/or other guests who may be visiting the ranch.
This is a paid internship which includes: Housing near the ranch, the opportunity to participate in various work activities involving Dos Condados Ranch’s ongoing maintenance, management and white-tail programs, and use of a ranch vehicle for work-related purposes.
The internship will run from June 1, 2017 to February 1, 2018. These are negotiable within two weeks from the start or end date and may extend longer with a possibility of future employment.
Applicants must have a good attitude, reliable transportation and a background in mechanical, wildlife or veterinary classes. Previous hands on work with animals, or equipment and mechanical repairs, is also very desirable.
