DFG works to preserve the state's natural resources and people's right to conservation of those resources, as protected by the Massachusetts Constitution. To carry out this mission, the Department exercises responsibility over the Commonwealth's marine and freshwater fisheries, wildlife species, plants, and natural communities, as well as the habitats that support them.
DFW is responsible for the conservation - including restoration, protection and management - of fish and wildlife resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.
The Endangered Species Review Assistant (Office Support Specialist II) assists the Senior Review Assistant in providing administrative support to the Regulatory Review Section of the NHESP. This includes accurate, efficient, and timely processing of large volumes of correspondence; coordinating responses with Review Biologists to ensure on-time responses and excellent customer service; entering data into the Project Review Database.
Qualifications Required at Hire: Ability to follow directions and carry out specific instructions required. Accuracy, good communication skills, and attention to detail required. Experience with computers, including relational databases, GIS and topographic maps strongly preferred. Interest in wildlife conservation desired. Customer service experience preferred.
