Interested in field research?

We are in need of volunteer field assistants to aid in the collection of wild salamanders in North Carolina from mid-May to mid-June. Our project looks at the effects of climate change on salamander reproduction.

Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to Highlands, N.C. or surrounding areas, but transport around field sites will be provided. Costs for food and lodging are not covered.  

Time commitment for this position is flexible!

Qualifications
Applicants must be:
-Interested in scientific research, preferably biology or other natural sciences
-Willing to work outdoors in during both daytime and nighttime hours
-Able to withstand physically strenuous tasks, particularly lifting heavy objects.
