The UAF Large Animal Research Station is recruiting for individuals to conduct daily public tours; present information on the biology and natural history of muskoxen, caribou, reindeer, the Arctic, and an overview of current UAF research. Tour guides also participate in the daily operations of the LARS gift shop, which involves display and sale of merchandise, operation of the cash register, basic accounting and inventory control; additional duties include assisting with crowd management, security, willow collection and grounds maintenance of LARS outreach facility. There are opportunities for full time and part time work. Must be willing to work an irregular schedule, including some weekends and evenings. Season begins mid-May through mid-September. Start and end dates can be adjusted to applicant availability.

Must be comfortable giving public presentations. Capable of working with a team and independently. Capable of working outside in a wide variety of weather conditions.
