Must Have Working Knowledge of Basic Northern California Flora and/or Fauna, and Vegetation Communities.
Responsibilities would include:
Conducting field surveys for plants and/or animals (depending on technical expertise);
Conducting wetland delineations;
Preparing survey reports and permit application packages for submittal to the resource agencies;
Conducting field surveys for plants and/or animals (depending on technical expertise) as necessary to assist project and senior level biologists;
Assisting with the preparation of survey reports and permit application packages for submittal to the resource agencies;
Monitor construction activities: to assist in environmental compliance.
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental biology, ecology, wildlife management, botany, or related field. All candidates should have strong field skills or related job experience.
A solid background with field experience in identifying California fauna and/or flora (depending on technical expertise) and vegetation communities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with ArcMap is a plus.
Ability to work as a team with other biologists and independently when necessary.
Be comfortable working both in the field and in the office.
