Two seasonal positions are available on a bird monitoring project associated with the National Science Foundation-funded Baltimore Ecosystem Study. Those hired for the project will conduct bird surveys in 132 survey points in residential neighborhoods and parks, collect data on habitat variables associated with the bird points, and assist a assist a graduate student in assessing vacant lot habitats.
Applicants should have taken a college ornithology or have at least three years birding experience. Applicants should be able to identify birds by sight and/or song. Knowledge of birds of the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. is helpful.
