JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Field Technician’s primary role is to identify and perform herbicide treatments on noxious weeds using ATV and backpack sprayers. Additional duties will include daily record keeping, clean-up and maintenance/repair of equipment. Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate early morning starts and rain/wind delays. The workload for this position is approximately 30-40 hr/wk, from May 1st – mid September, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. The Technician will earn $11.00 – $15.00 per hour dependent upon experience. No experience is needed; we will train the right applicant. This job demands that you are physically active and is a great opportunity to work outside for the summer. You will learn to identify noxious weeds in the Great Yellowstone Ecosystem, and be part of the effort to preserve these habitats.
Qualifications
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Flexible, good attitude, and ready to learn
• A valid driver’s license w/ clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to interpret maps and navigate to properties
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical exam for driving purposes

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• ATV, truck, and trailer operation experience
• Herbicide application experience
• Basic maintenance and repair skills
• Ability to obtain an Idaho Pesticide Applicator License
• Familiarity with weed identification
