Duties: Under direction of the Ranch Manager- assist with natural grasslands and garden management in Chambers County. Maintain daily feedings, exercise and care for rescue dogs and horses. Building fence, weeding gardens, brush removal, planting native plants and equipment maintenance will also be required. The majority of work will be physical, outdoors and will include the use of equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and pesticides.
Qualifications: Graduation from, or current enrollment in a forestry, wildlife, fisheries, ecology, zoology or other related biological program at an accredited college or university. The ability to identify native texas plants and tree species is preferred. Experience with safe operation of power equipment preferred. Experience with horses preferred. Conversational Spanish preferred.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history. Drug test, background check, and physical will be required. Applicant must provide and maintain their own transportation.
Salary is dependent on qualifications. Housing can be provided for the right candidate.
