Help improve recreation opportunities in Sam Houston National Forest!
In partnership with the US Forest Service, Texas Conservation Corps will be placing two Forestry Recreation Technician Individual Placement AmeriCorps members at Sam Houston National Forest near New Waverly, Texas. This position will work alongside USFS Recreation Program staff to work in several recreation areas throughout the forest. This position will interact with public visitors to the forest and help manage trails, campgrounds, recreation areas, facilities, and the budget for the recreation program.
-$2,720 monthly stipend

-US Citizenship or lawful permanent US Resident
-Ability to serve on a Thursday-Monday schedule

-Commitment to complete the entire term of service
-Bilingual Spanish/English speaker (strongly preferred)
