Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with a main office in south central Indiana and satellite offices in Valparaiso, Indiana, St. Louis, Missouri, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Evansville, Indiana, and Memphis, Tennessee. Aquatic Control has been in the lake and pond management business for 52 years. Our staff consists of fisheries biologists and technicians with a combined 125+ years of experience in aquatic vegetation management, fisheries management, product sales, and aquatic ecosystem management. We are hiring a full-time entry-level aquatic biologist that will be stationed at our Elizabethtown, Kentucky office. Duties include: -Application of EPA registered aquatic herbicides and algaecides -Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems -Completion of fish management surveys via electrofishing -Assisting with fish survey report writing -Data entry and management -General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds -Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, conferences, and public meetings
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or natural resources Experience with aquatic vegetation identification Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus) Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required) Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week Compensation: Hourly pay based on experience, averages $27,000-$32,000 first year 401 K with company match on first 3% after 1 year of employment Company health insurance plan after 90 days Profit sharing plan after 1 year Earned Time Off Time and a half hourly rate for overtime hours Please email resume and cover letter to: Adam Charlton Kentucky Office Manager 270-769-0200 office
