This position will be responsible for assisting the Senior Fisheries Biologist in the research and management of aquatic resources. This position will include extensive fieldwork as well as technical report writing and data analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Aquatic Biology, Fisheries, or closely related field; and
Two (2) years work experience in the aquatics biology field involving fisheries and aquatic sampling techniques, fish and macro-invertebrate identification; and
One (1) year of prior supervisory (at a minimum leading projects or surveys, directing daily work assignments of field personnel) experience; and
A valid Michigan Operator’s License with the ability to be insured under Tribe’s policy; and
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Applications; and
Strong verbal communication, written communication, organizational, project management, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
