About the Job We are seeking entry to mid-level professionals to conduct biological field surveys and construction monitoring in the Mojave Desert. This position will be based at project sites located throughout southern California and Nevada. Preferred candidates are USFWS Authorized Mojave Desert Tortoise Biologists. Duties and Responsibilities Work with construction crews and field leads to document biological resources and compliance levels related to environmental regulations during construction. Collect field data for use in project regulatory reporting. Oversee the installation and maintenance of environmental exclusion fencing, wildlife fencing, sediment and erosion control devices and material and waste management. Ability to work collaboratively with construction personnel and regulatory personnel to develop solutions while implementing permit conditions. Follow all Dudek and construction site safety protocols. Minimum Requirements - Experience in performing biological surveys and construction monitoring. - Understanding of environmental regulations. Preferred Qualifications - Approved as USFWS Authorized Mojave Desert Tortoise Biologist - Must demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills. - Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team.
