Description
Assistant Professor for Systems Ecology and Sustainability Science (#F2532PO) The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources (RSENR) at the University of Vermont (UVM) seeks applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Systems Ecology and Sustainability Science. Candidates should have a strong foundation in integrative systems research addressing ecological, social, cultural and equity components of sustainability science to support climate adaptation efforts. A Ph.D. in environmental sciences, environmental studies, or related field with a focus on interdisciplinary research in sustainability and/or climate adaptation is required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience developing collaborative relationships and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational and research experiences. The successful candidate will teach (40%), conduct research (40%), and engage in service (20%). Applicants should have demonstrated capacity to deliver quality and impactful teaching, mentoring, and advising of undergraduate and graduate students, and demonstrated ability to develop an extramurally- funded and productive research program.
