Assistant Professor of Biology: Wildlife Biologist. Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, Tennessee. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2018. The successful candidate will teach traditional courses in wildlife science, as well as upper division courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. Other essential functions include developing an externally funded research program, advising undergraduate and graduate students, advising the Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society, and directing thesis research of M.S. and/or Ph.D. level graduate students.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. from an accredited institution in an area applicable to wildlife biology; demonstrated potential to teach traditional and advanced courses in wildlife biology; demonstrated peer-reviewed publication record; potential for developing an externally funded research program and directing thesis research of M.S. and/or Ph.D. level graduate students; and ability to serve as advisor to undergraduate and graduate students. Previous university-level teaching experience and research specialty in wetland wildlife ecology are preferred.
