- Description
- The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Botany, Range Management and Range Plants, and other classes depending on the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the Science Department. The selected candidate will also be responsible for organization of the VCSU plant collection and help with undergraduate recruitment and advising of Fisheries and Wildlife Science majors.
- Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Biology or related field Strong desire to teach, knowledge of teaching methods, and excellent communication skills Ability to work with others in a collegial and collaborative manner Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or ABD in Biology or related field Experience teaching, especially at the university level Demonstrated proficiency with the use of technology in the classroom Interest in creating undergraduate research program Interest in teaching Introduction to Global Information Systems (GIS) Excellent plant identification skills for plants found in the Northern Great Plains
