- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department are seeking a Software Project Manager/Administrator, responsible for the implementation, security, administration, maintenance, and integration of various third-party applications within the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. One of the primary systems this administrator position is responsible for is the Department’s document management system. Full-cycle project management of system implementations, including developing work plans to implement identified processes with consideration for necessary resources, estimated timeline, costs, and benefits System Configuration - defining new system variables such as document types; building workflows within the document management system; building new reports within managed systems; configuring document management and other systems to access Department data from SQL databases; building and implementing new security roles. Conducts day-to-day administration of the system (user access, system updates, workflow troubleshooting, etc.); provides system matter expertise on the operation and integration of the system(s) within the department; Collaborates with Department staff on analysis of business functions that may leverage the software but are not yet implemented; implementation changes to the systems based on analysis. Maintains a high level of expertise in systems through ongoing training, working with end users on current and future processes, and research on various capabilities of the systems. Work with programmers, DBAs, network administrators, and help desk personnel to integrate and manage third-party applications. This includes collaborative work on designing, implementing, and applying changes for data integrations, scripting, job scheduling, and environment changes. Provides basic user support through education and training of system process; researches and recommends additional user training based on department needs. Creates documentation in conjunction with primary users for system processes.
- Qualifications
- PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in computer management, management information systems, business administration, or a related field OR four years of work experience in a technical branch of information technology, or experience as a business analyst for information technology integrations. Preference will also be given to candidates holding experience with OnBase or Workday. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in project planning and resource allocation. Skill in leading projects focused on the integration of third-party applications into an enterprise environment including small to medium projects and knowledge of business functions within the Department. Knowledge of Windows network environment including server structure and security; Knowledge of SQL data structures and utilizing standard tools to query data Basic understanding of computer file storage strategies Knowledge and experience in testing and troubleshooting software deployments; Ability to transfer knowledge through training and communications Ability to logically design business processes in third-party applications Ability to work as part of a team to bring large projects online Knowledge of development, operation, oversight, and maintenance of agency information systems. Knowledge of database architecture, Windows environments, and server structures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Business/Project Management) Experience: 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in project management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a(n) Project Management Analyst OR Education & Experience Substitution: 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in project management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a(n) Project Management Analyst Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: This position takes place in an average office setting.
