- Description
- Begin your career working directly with management programs that help conserve California's game species! The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Wildlife Branch has an exciting opportunity in our Game Conservation Program for an outgoing and resourceful person to support staff conducting resource planning and assessment, regulations, and environmental review. This person is responsible for supporting the Deer, Elk, Antelope, Bear, Bighorn Sheep, Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE), and Private Land Management (PLM) Programs.
- Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver license, and either 1) Education: Equivalent to completion of two years of college with a minimum of 10 semester hours in biological or chemistry sciences; or 2) One year of experience in surveying, studying or evaluating fish or wildlife populations, data habitats or users, or working in a chemistry laboratory. Familiarity with the fundamentals of fish and wildlife management and ecology and general concepts principles involved in the departmental assignment.
