Perform routine fish culture duties at a Steelhead and Chinook salmon fish hatchery and trap. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with trapping and spawning of Summer Chinook and Steelhead, feeding fish and cleaning vats, data collection, data entry, loading adult fish for release or distribution, maintaining grounds and equipment, operating lawn care and landscaping equipment, pressure washing raceway walls, occasional report writing and data entry.
It is preferred the applicants have a B.S. degree in fisheries or related field, or have equivalent job experience and training. Individuals with experience handling and identifying adult salmonids and collecting and organizing adult salmonid data will be given preference. Experience with lawn care and grounds maintenance preferred. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license.
