- Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is a non-profit wolf and wolfdog facility in Navasota, Texas. Our mission is to provide exceptional lifelong sanctuary to non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs, while sharing a message of education and conservation. Our Board of Directors members’ diverse backgrounds ensure a resilient governance of the sanctuary and assist in building the foundation of our operations. Board members are required to attend monthly board meetings and participate on committees. Our Board and committee meetings are generally online to facilitate participation of our board members and committee volunteers. We ask that Board members be knowledgeable about Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary and be an ambassador to the public about our mission and work. Ideally, we are looking for Board members who are interested in filling chair positions on the board. We are actively looking for candidates interested in the Board Treasurer or Secretary positions, as well as general Board members. Candidates for Treasurer should have bookkeeping or other financial skills and will assist the Board and sanctuary with monitoring and understanding our financials. We welcome candidates who are local to the Houston region as well as those outside of the region.
