- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking a Business Office Coordinator to provide executive-level support services to the Director, Deputy Directors, Division Administrators, and Game and Fish Commissioners in the areas of strategic planning and development of major initiatives; tracking high-priority projects; administration of commission meetings, including work with IT to provide and improve technological support at meetings; and supports the Director's Office legislative team. Assists with the administration of Commission policies coordinates leadership team meetings and supports major planning initiatives. This position assists in maintaining, improving, and implementing all administrative processes in the Director's Office to ensure efficient and effective agency operations. Work cooperatively with all staff support positions in the agency and coordinate with department staff on Director's Office assignments and initiatives. Supports overall administration of the Game and Fish Director's Office. Implements high-level administrative functions for the Director's Office, including oversight of all administrative functions of the office to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of agency programs. Works with the IT Branch to maintain and improve IT support for Wyoming Game and Fish Commission meetings. Coordinates within the Director's Office and with other divisions to improve processes and support teamwork to accomplish the agency's objectives. Support the agency's leadership team on strategic planning and major initiatives: coordinates with the Governor's Office, Commission, and agency leadership to track and complete high-priority projects. Coordinate Director's Office attendance at regional meetings and major events throughout the state. Work closely with the Director's Office Policy Team on legislation, strategic planning, Commission policies, leadership team meetings, and major planning initiatives. Attend Staff meetings and participate in other agency coordination meetings to understand agency needs and expectations while ensuring effective communications across the agency. Manage Director's Office records retention and archiving activities. Responsible for organizing and maintaining an effective and efficient filing system for the Director's Office including filing and management of all information associated with incoming mail, Commission meetings, Staff meetings, Legislative sessions, and correspondence leaving the Director's Office as well as major Department projects.
- Qualifications
- PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Game and Fish Rules and Regulations. Preference will be given to candidates with executive support experience. KNOWLEDGE: Ability to work with the public in a professional manner. Ability to work with agency leaders in managing multiple priorities. Knowledge of computer operations including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access). Knowledge of and ability to interpret industry and Game and Fish regulations as well as state procedures for purchasing, fiscal coding, and processes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Business) Experience: 0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Coordinator I OR Education & Experience Substitution: 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Coordinator I Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
