Camp Leopold is looking for 2 seasonal instructors to help implement their Camp Leopold +PLUS Program in schools across South Carolina. Camp Leopold strives to engage new audiences with the outdoors in ways that allow for an understanding and an appreciation of the environment. Through STEM-based experiential learning, the instructor will engage students in grades 3rd - 7th in topics such wetland ecology, waterfowl, cold blooded animals, and forest ecology. All classes are hands on! Transportation to and from schools is provided, along with lodging. The instructor is responsible for preparing for and delivering the program. We are looking for high energy and engaging candidates. This position has the potential to develop into a full time role as an Instructor delivering classes at our Wildlife Education Center or a Director position. Opportunities to gain experience within other fields of environmental work with the South Carolina Waterfowl Association.
Seeking candidates that possess or are working towards a 4 year degree in the environmental science field. Candidates must be professional, enthusiastic, motivated, and hard-working. Possession of a driver's license is required. Candidate is required to pass a background check and drug screening upon employment.
