Description
This position will participate in an interdisciplinary team that is examining climate change impacts on natural resource on U.S. Air Force installations throughout the world and supporting planning efforts to address these impacts. The incumbent will be required to work collaboratively with a diverse team to provide GIS analysis for various portions of climate change and natural resources projects. Work will include manipulation of data layers, research on publicly available data layers, map creation and overlay analysis. As requested, the incumbent will also be required to contribute non-spatial analysis to various natural resource work products. Incumbent will support project management and reporting as well. Work will be based in Fort Collins.

Required Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, spatial ecology or another closely related field with a focus on geographic information systems Proven research skills in conducting interdisciplinary spatial analysis Familiarity with ecological concepts and climate change research Knowledge of Department of Defense natural resource planning Knowledge of Department of Defense spatial data requirements Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Preferred Job Qualifications Knowledge of multiple data sources and types and ability to integrate and analyze data types Experience producing maps and analyses for teams with tight timelines Experience working with an interdisciplinary team Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to multiple requests Experience with CEMML project requirements Experiencing managing and disseminating project documents such as reports
