Lead a Conservation & Disaster Crew through conservation projects on public lands throughout Texas and the surrounding region! This crew serves as a resource for local and national disasters.
Texas Conservation Corps’ Conservation & Disaster Crew Leaders serve a full-time, 1700 hour term of service and co-lead a crew of eight members to complete conservation and disaster response projects throughout Texas and the region. Conservation projects include habitat restoration, disaster mitigation, trail work, and invasive species management on public lands throughout the state. Members will work closely with FEMA and TX Division of Emergency Management during local and national disasters. Leaders will facilitate daily details of crew life, transport crews and materials safely in program vans, and must have a clean driving record. Leaders should have at least 6 months of conservation experience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work within a diverse crew!
