Applications are solicited for a Graduate Assistantship in Prof. Andrew DeWoody's evolutionary/conservation genetics lab at Purdue University. Current graduate students in our lab are using genomic approaches to advance the conservation of threatened/endangered whales, quail, rattlesnakes, and fishes. There is some flexibility in study organisms, but most of our current funding is for bird genomics and conservation. Assistantships are awarded on a (very) competitive basis. Contact Prof. DeWoody for more details.
M.S. desired but not required. Similarly, the knowledge/skills/abilities to code (for bioinformatics) are desired but not required; the willingness to *learn* to code is absolutely required. Contact Prof. DeWoody via email for more details.
