This position assists the Fish and Wildlife Regional Manager in accomplishing management objectives on State wildlife and fishing areas in New Castle County. The primary job duties include: operating and maintaining farming equipment, boats, and all-terrain vehicles; performing habitat management activities such as planting food plots, grasses and trees; performing herbicide applications and invasive plant species control; installing and maintaining waterfowl blinds, deer stands, signs, and wildlife nest structures; maintaining ponds and water control structures; managing public use facilities such as boat ramps, trails and wildlife viewing structures; mowing lawns and trash pickup. The incumbent will supervise and train seasonal staff, and also assist staff biologists with biological data collection at deer checking stations.
