- Description
- The majority of the job duties is the physical labor of building and managing perennial gardens, rain gardens, prairie gardens, lawn alternatives, natural shorelines, and other sustainable landscape features using native plants. This work can be considered moderate physical activity, especially when done day after day. You will learn the everyday, on the ground methods of how to design and build these features and be given the opportunity to provide input into decision making. You may be required to apply herbicides to prepare the ground for installation or for management. Leadership opportunities exist depending on level of knowledge, skill, and trust. You will have the opportunity to learn from other crew members in related and different sustainability disciplines.

- -Have passion and enthusiasm for native plants, conservation, and restoration work -Be physically fit enough to do moderate physical labor during summer days -Have experience manipulating physical objects -Work ethic, team player, leadership abilities, somewhat rebellious
