- Description
- Temporary Customer Service Technician: A customer service-based position that provides information and handles all aspects of product sales to customers while providing support to the staff. Daily interaction with customers requires effective communication and public relations skills. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Working directly with customers and providing quality information. Answer questions about fishing and hunting regulations and seasons. Answer all incoming calls, handle inquiries, and/or direct to appropriate staff. Support field staff by relaying messages and information from customers. Sell hunting/fishing licenses, OHV/boat registrations, and other CPW products, operate cash register. Assist with animal checks, mandatory sampling. Light cleaning of the Area Office facilities. May be asked to assist with special events or programs within the area. Other duties, as assigned. Preference may be given to applicants pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife Management, or similar and/or have experience in customer service.

- Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights REQUIREMENTS: Must be 16 years of age or older Must have a current & valid driver’s license required for operating a state vehicle The work-site will provide some uniform items, however the employee may be required to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense. Applicants may be subject to successful completion of a comprehensive background check. Must be able to work 40 hours per week. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be available to work varied shifts Preference may be given to applicants with or working towards a Natural Resources degree or similar education. Ability to work with limited supervision and work well within a team.
