COURSE DESCRIPTION: Learn the basic concepts of data science in R. Examples used in learning are tailored to the needs of students, researchers, and professionals in wildlife- and ecology-related disciplines.

DATES: June 27 - July 1, 2021 + two additional weeks to complete course material and work with the instructor on a personal project (optional)
FORMAT: Learn at your own pace over 3 weeks by watching prerecorded lectures and working on problem sets. During the first week (June 27 - July 1), live instructor support and feedback will be provided from 9:00-17:00 EDT each day in discussion forums, by email, or during scheduled appointments. During the next two weeks, students will have limited instructor support and feedback about course materials but will have the option to work with an instructor on a personal project.
COST: Early Bird fee (ends May 22nd): $400 student / $500 professional
* Academic credit available from College of the Atlantic for an additional $150
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT: Attendance at this course has been pre-approved by The Wildlife Society for 21 CEUs in Category I of the Certified Wildlife Biologist® Renewal program and Category I of the Professional Development Certificate program.
