This position oversees the statewide Fisheries Management database, including related workplanning, budgeting, policy, sampling protocols, and data analysis and reporting standards. The incumbent will work with partners on database management, including upkeep of Oracle and PostgreSQL relational databases and front-end applications for data entry and retrieval, and will serve on various species management teams. Experience in database (Oracle, PostgreSQL) development and maintenance, preferably including front-end web development (Oracle, Java, Shiny); Skills in Communication and Training; and skills in statistics and quantitative analysis. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher in fisheries or a related field, and experience developing, implementing, and evaluating program work plans, contracts, and budgets.
