Description
We seek an outstanding individual to pursue a doctoral degree in environmental toxicology at Texas Tech University. This will be a tremendous opportunity for an individual to work in the area of wildlife toxicology. We are particularly interested in someone that can conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of wildlife disease and toxicology. The doctoral candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team with other doctoral students. This will be cutting-edge research, particularly focusing on birds and integrating disease/toxic chemical interactions.
Qualifications
We seek a doctoral student with, preferably, a Master’s of Science degree already in hand. In addition, we are looking for a student with a biology, wildlife biology, or environmental science background with a strong emphasis in toxicology. The graduate student should be comfortable in animal experiments, conducting field and laboratory research, and showing particular capabilities for research in birds. This will be an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding student to make a significant contribution in the field of wildlife toxicology. The individual should be a team player and highly capable of interdisciplinary research. Strong analytical skills are a necessity, including a background in animal testing, toxicology, and computer skills, including statistical analysis.
