We are hiring field technicians for a project examining translocation as a conservation measure for the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard (Sceloporus arenicolus). Duties include trapping and marking lizards of multiple species, building enclosures for soft release of translocated individuals, installing and removing pitfall trap arrays, checking pitfall traps daily, and recording behavioral observations of translocated lizards. Field housing will be provided at Monahans Sandhills State Park. This is a great opportunity to work with a fascinating habitat specialist in the unique Shinnery Oak dune blowout formations of West Texas.
Please email a CV and list of three references to Mickey Parker (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Previous field experience is preferred, but not required. This is a seasonal position that will last from early May to late September 2018.
