Kids Program Instructor will enhance the Telluride experience for local and visiting children, by leading fun, yet educational outdoor activities, while overseeing each child’s general well-being.
Know and enforce safety initiatives consistent with company guidelines.
Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
Adhere to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
Registering kids for programs
Promoting our programs to potential customers
Leading nature-centered day trips for kids ages 5-14
Collaborating with co-workers and management to keep our programs fresh and exciting.
Assisting with special programs including but not limited to mountaineering, mountain biking, horseback riding, and overnight camping trips (experience preferred but not required)
Instruct children of all ages on Telluride’s local flora & fauna.
Complete programs (ranging from 2-8 hours), utilizing appropriate indoor and outdoor facilities.
Set-up and clean-up necessary program materials.
Maintain proper classroom management throughout activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of presentations.
Perform duties related to program efficiently and on time.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and wear uniform and nametag provided.
Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guests’ expectations
Assist in the creation of new activities.
Promote a positive & healthy environment for the guests of Eco Adventures
Develop and practice personal leadership skills
Collect pertinent information (allergies, medications, etc.) from parents and professionally relay behavioral issues and/or day’s report to parents upon completion of program.
