Overview RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects. The purpose of this role is to serve as an Operator for the Texas/Louisiana Region. This will include equipment operation, construction oversight, crew management, manual labor, and general upkeep around project sites. Responsibilities Operating equipment including;, tractors, skid loaders, track hoe’s, dozers, and other specialized equipment Crew management and oversight; ensure all plants, erosion control products, and any maintenance work is conducted to specification and to a highly level of quality as expected by the Project Manager Construction oversight; including day-to-day sub-contractor oversight Responsible for looking after assets, individuals, and properties Key Competencies: Capable of operating and maintaining heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Knowledge of herbicide applications Knowledge of ecological restoration earthwork, excavation, grading, and compaction Strong attention to detail, and ability to direct sub-contractors and crew members to meet project timelines and to ensure work is done to a high standard of quality Strong work ethic and ability to meet production requirements safely as specified Maintain effective, professional, courteous, and respectful communication with all stakeholders Takes directions well and willing to learn Trustworthy
