- Description
- The Wilsterman Lab at Colorado State University is currently seeking a post-doctoral researcher interested in evolution and physiology of reproductive diversity within mammals. Current work in the lab focuses on reproductive adaptations (including the placenta) in deer mice (Peromyscus) and reproductive diversity among Peromyscus species using a variety of approaches ranging from organismal physiology to cell culture. Ample sequence data and tissues in hand to get trainees started on closely-related projects with substantial opportunities for developing new ideas. Bioinformatics (especially methylation sequence data processing and analysis) and/or in vitro skillsets desired but not required. Funding for 1.5 years in hand with opportunity to develop independent projects/fellowships with mentor support. - Qualifications
- Projects topics are very flexible within the broad umbrella of evolutionary and ecological physiology, and thus relevant qualifications will vary. PhD in biology or related field required. Experience with methylation and/or transcriptome data desired. Experience with cell culture and histology also applicable. Contact Kate to discuss opportunities further.
