This position will be responsible for providing technical assistance, including construction inspection to tax ditch organizations, local governments, conservations districts, private landowners, and interagency personnel relating to the Drainage Program, as well as respond to drainage concerns throughout Sussex County. Additionally, this position will utilize Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software to produce and update tax ditch digitized property maps, watersheds, ditch location data, owner/assessment list, and Court Order Changes.
Six months experience in applied mathematical computations. Six months experience in interpreting construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings. Knowledge of computerized mapping software applications such as Geographic Information System (GIS) used for collecting, analyzing, and mapping data or Computer Assisted Drafting and Design (CADD). Knowledge of data management and analysis which includes querying, formatting, and quality control. Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data. Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
