Duties include: environmental training (WEAP), nesting bird surveys, construction monitoring, wildlife relocation, environmental/SWPPP inspections, coordination/scheduling monitors (cultural, paleo, etc.), and daily report-writing. Potential seasonal/on-call or full-time/permanent positions may be available following conclusion of the project.
At least 2 years of construction monitoring, nesting bird survey, AND environmental compliance. Experience working in/around southern California and familiarity with the region's flora and fauna. Preference will be given to individuals that have worked in Imperial County and/or the Colorado Desert, and have experience with burrowing owl and flat-tailed horned lizard. Willingness to work potentially long days in temperatures that can exceed 100F, live in or around Imperial County, and work independently with minimal oversight.
