Primary duties for this position include the field delineation of wetlands according to federal and state regulations but may be expanded to include all aspects of project management as it pertains to environmental resource permitting. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment associated with federal, state, and local environmental permitting in Florida and the Southeastern United States. Additional duties may include: - independently conduct environmental site assessments - wetland delineations - wetland monitoring and maintenance - UMAM scoring - wildlife surveys, and more Additional skills required include the ability to delegate duties to support staff as needed to keep projects on time and under budget, technical writing, proposal writing, budgeting, and a solutions-based approach to complex environmental projects. This position requires a valid, clean Florida Driver's License for the operation of various motor vehicles and equipment. Motorized equipment may include, but is not limited to, trucks, trailers, all-terrain vehicles, small boats, airboats, and other assigned equipment. College degree in natural sciences, environmental studies, or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in wetland delineation related to environmental permitting required- experience in Florida is preferred. Be prepared to provide employer references. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - College degree in natural sciences, environmental studies, or equivalent - Five years of project management experience related to environmental permitting. - Minimum age 21 years old, for insurance purposes - Clean, valid Florida Driver's License Class E, for insurance purposes - Able to pass a law enforcement background check and drug/alcohol screening - Please provide references.
