- Description
- This position will aid in the administration of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP), as part of the Hunter Education Program. Incumbent will work closely with the NASP New York State coordinator. Duties include: providing logistical and administrative program support; maintaining supplies and equipment for participating schools; planning and coordination of training sessions for basic archery instructors; and promoting NASP and other youth archery opportunities among school officials, teachers, and community support organizations. Incumbent will also assist with other Hunter Education Program-related duties, as needed. Overnight travel within New York State will be necessary. Proficiency with public speaking, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills a plus. Archery experience is preferred, but not required.
- Qualifications
- Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in environmental education programs; or one year of college study with specialization in natural sciences, natural resources, or environmental education.
