Wildlands Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing North Carolina Team in our Charlotte office. We are looking for an environmental scientist with a background in habitat restoration, field assessment, GIS, environmental permitting, and/or wetland delineation. Duties will include performing stream assessments, geomorphic monitoring surveys, wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, environmental permitting and invasive species management.
The preferred candidate should have 1‐4 years of experience and understand the ecologic and hydrologic processes important to ecosystem restoration in the Southeastern United States. Ability to deal with long, hard field days is necessary, along with some overnight travel. Experience with surveying equipment, GIS, field monitoring protocols, report writing, and interfacing with permitting agencies and landowners is preferred.
