Calaveras Healthy Impact Product Solutions (CHIPS) seeks an experienced and motivated Executive Director committed to triple bottom line outcomes: economic, environmental, and community equity benefits. CHIPS is a non-profit corporation based devoted to forest, watershed, meadow, post wildfire and cultural site restoration in the Sierra Nevada region of California.
The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and lead to achieve the organization’s mission. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading organizational, operational, and program development and implementation, and for conducting day to day administration.
− Report to and work with the Board of Directors to lead organizational, operational and program development; facilitate the Board including formulating agendas, conducting board-assigned work, establishing and maintaining policies and procedures for all functions and day to day operations; research and ensure compliance with governmental guidance, policies, laws, and regulations; and; provide information necessary to Board decisions.
− Help plan and implement annual organization budget.
− Review and support management of program budgets, accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll and expense allocations, taxes, and audits.
− Review and approve all contracts/agreements.
− Ensure contract and agreement compliance with contractors, funding agencies and partners.
− Recruit, hire and retain staff.
− Supervise and collaborate with staff.
− Guide establishment of the employee training and benefits programs, and equipment inventory and maintenance schedule.
− Explore and develop value-added wood product businesses for the biomass campus and manage the bioenergy plant lease agreement.
− Maintain existing and create new partnerships.
− Fundraise through grant writing.
− Oversee website maintenance and updates.

− Contract negotiation, administration and/or compliance experience
