- Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service seeks applications for an Assistant Professor and Extension Rangeland Specialist position with an emphasis in Beef Cattle and Livestock. This position is 60% Extension, non-tenure track in the Department of Rangeland Wildlife and Fisheries Management, Texas A&M University and 40% in the Borderlands Research Institute at Sul Ross Statue University. Cooperation with district and county Extension faculty and other Extension faculty in planning, conducting, and evaluating educational programs is required. This position will be headquartered at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.
- Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Rangeland, Wildlife, or other Natural Resources related discipline. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, communicate effectively, conduct interdisciplinary program development, and effectively apply teaching and research methodologies as required. Evidence of conducting applied research and translating results relevant to the public is strongly preferred. The equivalent of two years in Extension, teaching, research, post-doctoral or related professional experience is preferred. The ability to travel and a valid U.S. driver’s license are required for this position.
