Description
BioMaAS, Inc. – San Francisco, CA Full time - temporary We are looking for experienced environmental inspectors and/or filed biologists to help with projects in environmental consulting throughout the greater bay area to assist with regulatory compliance on civil construction projects for a number of public agencies as an inspector, environmental compliance manager, project manager, or field biologist. biological construction monitor. Tasks would be various and could include SWPPP inspection, wildlife surveys, plant surveys, wetland issues, mapping, permitting, and construction inspection services among others. Previous monitoring or field biology experience, specifically verifiable experience with Bay Area protected species is preferred. The successful candidate will be prompt, reliable, responsive, and able to work independently.
Qualifications
-Must have a degree in biology or related field (environmental science, natural resources, ecology, etc). -Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in California identifying and detecting wildlife/plant species and/or construction monitoring for special status habitats or species. Or, have applicable experience in environmental inspection, SWPPP or other related field (cultural, paleontology, air/water quality). -Have verifiable experience with special status species (i.e. California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander). -Must be able to work outside for long periods of time. -Must be willing to work in a construction environment where schedule, timeliness, and attention to detail are top priorities. -Must have a vehicle to get to projects throughout the bay. -Be willing to commit to working up to 10 hours per day in a given day. With at least a two month commitment. Option to extend or even upgrade to full time benefitted employee at some point. -If project work includes travel of more than 100 miles one way then travel/mileage would apply.
