If you want to increase your knowledge on the African bush and wildlife, or intend on becoming a field guide, or looking for a GAP YEAR experience or pursue a career within the wildlife/nature industry this 55 DAY FIELD GUIDE COURSE is a Must! If you intend becoming a Field Guide or pursuing any other career within the wildlife industry, the FGASA accredited Field Guide Level 1 course is for you. Whilst constantly being submerged in nature and exposed to the African bush throughout the course you will have a learning experience. The course includes daily lectures and practical activities, out in the field. Training will take place at two wilderness camps, and maximize exposure to different areas, wildlife, biomes and biodiversity. Daily morning and evening activities, alternate between game walks and game drives. Midday lectures involve topical instruction and discussion, on the subject or game encounter of the day. This is followed by personal study time and relaxation. WHY DO THE COURSE? The course is the foundation for a career in field guiding and other wildlife orientated careers. If you a are looking for a gap year experience or extended bush holiday, this course will also be a good fit for you. Participants older than 18 years, holding a valid driver's license and from all walks of life are invited to attend.
