- Light pollution is an emerging threat to biodiversity. Our project will investigate how light pollution affects wildlife and how to mitigate the cost of light at night. To conduct our research, we will tease apart light pollution from human-dominated landscapes, and study how it influences predator-prey interactions in one of the darkest areas of the globe. We urgently seek one enthusiastic, independent, and motivated field assistant to collect data in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The selected candidate will join the Barber Sensory Ecology Lab at Boise State University (https://barbersensorylab.wixsite.com/home) from the 21st of June until the 20th of September 2023. The selected candidate will be based at the UW-NPS Research Station (housing will be provided) and perceive a salary starting from $640/week, depending on their previous experience.
