As a Field Technician, you’ll oversee and manage field activities, including bat mist-net surveying and Indiana bat habitat assessments.
Use of topographic maps, aerial photographs, GPS units, and other maps and tools to determine exact locations of project areas, habitat types, and associated landforms
Conduct acoustic surveys and analysis
Deploy and maintain acoustic equipment
Conduct mist net surveys
Deploy and maintain mist net sets
Identification of bats to species level
At least one year of related experience;
Desired to have a Bachelor’s degree in a natural sciences field (Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology);
Ability to speak and write professionally.
Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of locations and conditions
Flexible work hours during long work weeks that my switch from days to nights unexpectedly
Valid driver's license required
