Description
The Products & Services Division is in need of up to 4 temporary employees to perform nonresidential Fire Ant Treatment on rural properties that maintain a wildlife management tax valuation. Fire Ant Treatment Technician Position Responsibilities: Travel to and from Plateau client properties Conduct Imported Red Fire Ant treatments on rural client properties Data collection, field documentation, and GIS data processing for fire ant treatments performed Fire Ant Treatment Technician Position Description: A team of two temporary employees will perform a fire ant treatment within a 10 acre designated treatment zone on Plateau client properties. Temporary employees will survey treatment zones by walking straight line transects, or paths, looking for imported red fire ant mounds. Active ant mounds are treated with a granular bait and documented via digital photos and field notes. GIS data will also be collected to show treated areas on a wildlife management property map. Temporary employees will report to the Driftwood, Texas office location by 8:00 AM and work up to 40 hours per week. Fire ant treatment services are primarily performed on properties located throughout Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties. Fire Ant Treatment Technician Position Requirements: • A reliable means of transportation* • Maintain confidentiality regarding Plateau clients and their properties at all times • Effective communication via phone, text, Teams, and in person • Excellent stamina: This position often requires extended periods of traversing on irregular terrain *Employees who use a vehicle for business related reasons will be reimbursed at the current IRS rate.
