Description
• Promote MRAP program via social media, newsletters, mailings, presentations, etc. • Develop brochures, fliers, presentations, and other creative displays as needed. • Assist MRAP Crew Leader in completing MRAP applications and other administrative duties as needed. • Answer questions from the public on area regulations and the MRAP program. • Perform other assigned duties associated with MRAP involving area checks and evaluations. • Travel to monitor MRAP properties across the state including overnight travel. Vehicle will be provided. • Install and maintain property boundary signage and bulletin boards and stock MRAP survey card boxes. • Vehicle will be provided.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Good written/oral communication skills are required. Must have college credit hours in communications, journalism, broadcast media, marketing, or related field or have equivalent work experience. Applicants with fish/forest/wildlife management experience preferred but not required. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy working outdoors. Must be capable of accurate data entry. Will be expected to work some weekends. Must be capable of outdoor work in a variety of conditions. Ability to operate hand tools such as power drills, post-hole diggers, hammers and saws is desired. Ability to operate All-terrain vehicles (ATV) and/or Utility terrain vehicles (UTV) is desired. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to work in Jefferson City, Missouri or Ozark, Missouri with preference given to those applicants that are able to work from Jefferson City. • Move about MDC properties, both inside and outside of buildings. • Operate on-road and off-road department vehicles for extended periods of time. • Operate a tablet and other office productivity machinery. • Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information. • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, and three-dimensional vision. • Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 50 pounds. • Concentrated attention is required at all times. • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
