The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is excited to announce a permanent opening for a Fish and Wildlife Technician (Fish Screens Technician) in The Dalles, Oregon.
Responsibilities: Maintain existing structures and assist with fabrication, installation and maintenance of fish protection screens, fishways, and instream habitat structures in North Central and North Western Oregon. These structures will assist in providing unimpeded passage to migratory fish, and will screen resident and anadromous fish from water diversions.

Requires an Associate's degree in Fisheries Technology, Aquaculture, Aquarium Science, Wildlife Technology or Agriculture; OR eighteen months of experience fisheries, fish culture, fish screens, care of livestock, agricultural research and experimentation, monitoring game or wildlife, or farming. A higher level degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science, or a closely-related degree with at least 45 quarter (30 semester) hours of biological/ecological coursework will substitute for the Associate's degree.
